Puritan Capital is committed to the protection of our environment. Our goal is to minimize the use of hazardous chemicals; use energy efficiently, and recycle, reuse, or reduce waste whenever possible. In addition, we encourage our customers to use the most environmentally friendly papers and printing processes.
In 2008 Puritan Capital became FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certified by the Rainforest Alliance, and in 2010 adopted the use of green formulated printing ink technology as a standard method in daily operations.
The printing inks contain extremely low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) equaling less than 3% by EPA method 24. They are formulated with 23% or more vegetable oil and do not contain any petroleum-derived ink solvents, while containing a minimum of 60% bio-derived, renewable and sustainable raw materials.
The Forest Stewardship Council™ Chain of Custody (CoC) tracks FSC® certified material through the production process – from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution.
